But what impresses me most isn't the titles. It's what Urso consistently produces.

There is something remarkable about a dog who wins Best Progeny Group not once, not twice, but eight times and counting.

Why does that matter?

Because conformation shows and breed surveys aren't simply beauty contests. At their core, they are evaluations designed to answer an important question:

Is this dog worthy of contributing to the next generation of the breed?

A dog can be successful as an individual, but reproducing those qualities consistently is an entirely different accomplishment.

When a dog repeatedly earns Best Progeny Group, judges aren't evaluating only him—they're evaluating the quality, consistency, and overall strength of his offspring. They're looking at whether his puppies inherit correct anatomy, proper breed type, sound temperament, movement, and overall quality. It is one of the clearest demonstrations that a dog is not only exceptional himself but is also capable of reliably passing those qualities on.

Of course, the value of any title depends on the integrity and expertise of the judges awarding it. Fortunately, Urso's record spans multiple countries, multiple organizations, and a long list of highly respected judges. When that many experienced evaluators continue arriving at the same conclusion, it carries weight.

I've had the opportunity to see Urso and his progeny compete firsthand, including in deep and highly competitive classes. He's simply a fun dog to watch. More importantly, his offspring consistently capture my attention for all the right reasons. There is a clear pattern, and judges around the world seem to agree.

Many puppy buyers tell me they don't care whether a dog's parents have show titles or breed evaluations. I understand the sentiment, but what those evaluations represent is often misunderstood. They are one of the few opportunities for a dog's structure, movement, temperament, and overall quality to be assessed by knowledgeable third parties under a variety of conditions and perspectives.

Titles alone don't make a great dog, but repeated success—especially success as a producer—provides valuable information.
 

Urso's accomplishments extend far beyond what any Instagram post can hold. His record continues to grow, he has produced numerous outstanding dogs, and he has helped earn multiple Best Kennel Group awards as well.
