Schiwago von Bad-Boll is a German-bred male of exceptional competitive standing, produced by Kennel von Bad-Boll and currently ranked among the top German Shepherd Dogs in the world. He resides in Viernheim, Germany, under the ownership of Peter Send.

Born November 17, 2020, Schiwago entered the show ring as a youth and quickly distinguished himself across Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy, and Serbia, earning consistent placements under some of the breed's most respected judges. His juvenile career was marked by repeated SG1 finishes in Jugendklasse, reflecting early correctness in both type and character that held up across borders and judging panels.

His transition into the adult class brought an immediate elevation in performance. Schiwago has earned V1 placements at regional and national level events across multiple German LG regions, and has represented the breed internationally with the same consistency he demonstrates at home.

His BSZS record tells the clearest story:

  • BSZS 2023 — VA8, Gebrauchshundklasse Rüden

  • BSZS 2024 — VA3, Gebrauchshundklasse Rüden

  • BSZS 2025 — VA2, Gebrauchshundklasse Rüden

Three consecutive years. Three consecutive steps forward. At the Bundessieger-Zuchtschau - the largest and most competitive German Shepherd Dog show in the world - Schiwago has not plateaued. He has improved every single year, placing him firmly among the frontrunners for VA1 Sieger at BSZS 2026.

Beyond the show record, Schiwago holds titles across multiple IGP and sport disciplines, confirming that his credentials are not cosmetic. He is a working-capable male whose structure, nerves, and drives have been evaluated and verified under trial conditions.

What truly sets Schiwago apart in today's showline landscape is what he produces. At a time when working drives in the showline German Shepherd Dog have become increasingly diluted, Schiwago is a standout - a male that consistently delivers offspring with real, purposeful drive backed by the mental stability and social temperament that defines the breed at its best. His production record for solid, working-capable showline dogs is unmatched among his contemporaries, and his reputation in breeding circles reflects that. Handlers and breeders who prioritize substance over surface are looking at Schiwago.

Appearance & Character Schiwago presents in a deep, rich red with a dark black mask - a striking pigmentation that commands attention in the ring and reflects the depth of color the breed standard demands at its best. His stock coat carries the color well, with no fading or dilution.

Schiwago is a male of strong character — dominant, self-assured, and deeply confident in his own presence. He is best suited to experienced handlers who understand and appreciate a dog with genuine substance. He requires a firm handler who knows how to work through resistance and does not back down. He will meet conflict with conflict.

Around other dogs, his dominance is pronounced. He does not coexist easily with other intact males, and male puppies from his litters are not suited for homes with other male dogs. Conflict potential exists even between opposite sexes. This dominance is heritable, and homes with existing pets will be carefully evaluated before placement. In the right hands, that assertiveness becomes an asset. In the wrong environment, it becomes a problem.

Lineage Schiwago is sired by Udro vom Team Panoniansee (IGP3, VA(BSZS), Normal/Normal) - a VA-rated male out of the Mars von Aurelius line, himself a son of Zorro vom La'Mirage and Yava von Aurelius. Udro is described in his breed critique as a large, typey, harmonious male with outstanding fore and underline, excellent angulation, and pronounced TSB - a structurally complete sire with working substance to match.

His dam is Leonarda von Bad-Boll (IGP3, VA, Normal/Normal) - and it is through her that much of Schiwago's drive and working intensity is rooted. Leonarda is a daughter of Memphis vom Solebrunnen (IPO3, V) and Paula vom Kaditzer Land - with Memphis himself tracing back through the Wallaby vom Kapellenberg line and the working-forward Yoker vom Leithawald (INT) cross. On her dam's side, Paula vom Kaditzer Land brings Hoppy vom Kaditzer Land and Naxos vom Holtkämper See - names associated with pronounced working drives and mental toughness. Leonarda's own breed critique notes expressive, dry, and strong nerves, correct movement, TSB pronounced - the hallmarks of a female built to transmit. The motherline here is not decorative. It is the engine. Kennel von Bad-Boll has built Schiwago on a foundation of females with real substance, and that inheritance is visible in both his temperament and his trial record.

Health clearances are complete: hips and elbows Normal/Normal, DNA on file. He is DM Clear. He is breed survey approved AK(D) and korklasse eligible, meeting the full requirements of the SV breed program.
